The minutes of the Committee's annual meeting in Gwangju are available

On 22 July, on the occasion of the 6^th World Human Rights Cities Forum in Gwangju (South Korea), the UCLG Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights (CSIPDHR) held its annual meeting.

It gathered representatives of local governments from all over the world, as well as from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and other organizations defending human rights. During the meeting, the CSIPDHR Secretariat presented the actions undertaken in 2015 (2015 Activities Report), as well as those planned to take place during the current year (2016 Action Plan). Moreover, participants had the opportunity to discuss how to strengthen the global alliance of Human Rights Cities and the implementation of the Rright to the city. These exchanges set the foundations to define the strategic working lines for the Committee’s work in the coming years.
