The minute of the 1st 2015 Biannual meeting of UCLG Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights is available. This meeting took place on April 21st 2015, in Mexico City on the occasion of the International Seminar of Local Governments for the Right to the City.
Around forty participants were present, including representatives from local governments and Organizations from France, Senegal, Mexico, South Korea, Belgium, among others. The following topics were discussed:
- Presentation of the work done by the Committee between 2005 and 2014, including the production of the Global Charter Agenda for Human Rights in the City, adopted by UCLG during the World Council of Florence (2011) and the and work to promote the Right to the City in the New Global Urban Agenda (Habitat III);
- Exchange of experiences involving the implementation in local level of the Global Charter Agenda for Human Rights in the City.
- Strategic and new co-presidency of the Committee for the year 2015;
- International Agenda, including the activities of the Global platform for the right to the city.
