The city of Canoas in Brazil will organize the next June 11th, 12th and 13th, 2013 the III Forum of Local Authorities Peripheral- FALP. The forum theme: “Rights and Democracy for cooperative and sustainable Metropolises”. The summit claims to gather together more than 1100 participants coming from 200 cities, 50 different countries from Africa, America, Asia, Europe and the Middle-East.
Recently Lula da Silva confirmed its presence in the FALP Forum.
The Forum main subjects are the following:
- Identity and Multi-polarity
- Governance and Participation
- Globalisation and Metropolisation
- Sustainability
- Common good and well being
