The International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD) invites local and regional governments that are members of the IOPD to submit their proposal for the XIII edition of the Award. This distinction is an award given annually by the observatory to recognize innovative experiences and public policies on citizen participation.
In this edition, the candidacies will be evaluated by an expert jury once have passed a first evaluation stage by all IOPD members through the participatory platform PARTICIPATE IOPD. The purpose of this initial stage is, on the one hand, to give visibility to all proposals and, on the other hand, to collect the members' opinions on all practices submitted.

The deadline for proposal submissions is the June 9 2019 and won't be extended. Proposals must be submitted in three languages (English, French and Spanish). Visit the Award website to find out more about the terms, calendar, and how to submit a proposal (Guide of the platform).
