The 13th Gwangju World Human Rights Cities Forum (WHRCF) kicks off this coming Wednesday 4 October! This Forum is the main meeting point of the global human rights cities movement. It is co-organised by the Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG-CSIPDHR), together with its co-presidency of the Gwangju Metropolitan Government and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute.

You can attend our sessions remotely, just register on the Zoom links. All of them will have simultaneous interpretations in English and some will also be available in French and Spanish.

On this day, our Committee is leading the Plenary Session of the Forum: “Human Rights Cities Responding to Poverty and Inequalities.”

Friday 6 October
Our Committee is facilitating the “Human Rights in the City: Workshop for the Update of the UCLG Global Charter-Agenda.” This will be the occasion to bring together in person the members of our Committee who are steering the process, already started online, of updating this milestone document for the localisation of human rights.
