It is important to act from the bottom up to affirm and consolidate the culture of human rights in politics, the economy, and social life. A municipal administration must raise awareness among its citizens on the issue of human rights with the aim of building a more just society, where those very rights are fully realized. By sharing educational paths with youth, schools, and associations, and providing elements of hope for a new and more respectful civic and social consciousness, the local community grows, realizing that proximity democracy is essential to cultivating a culture of human rights, peace, and solidarity.
We strongly believe in the importance of networking also on an international scale to better disseminate best practices and initiatives aimed at affirming human rights.
